HOW DO YOU GET THE MOST OUT OF LESSONS?

So let's say you've signed up for lessons but you're not sure what to do to practice the lessons and get the most for what you paid for. The good news is that by reading this blog post, you'll know EXACTLY what to do........maybe. But seriously, there's things you can try to make the lessons actually work better for your kid. Lessons by themself are sort of pointless. You heard me correctly. Or rather, read me correctly. They certainly work but operate in a way similar to personal training. I'm there to add some cool new stuff to your kid's arsenal of swim skills. It's the same thing as a check-up at the doctor or a physical therapist that gives you a list of exercises to try.

At the end of day, ANYTHING a swim coach does you can do to. Transferring the skills taught in a swim class to your own pool can work wonders in a child's learning experience. So, you know, DO THAT! Jump in the pool with your child and run them through the process without the use of a lifejacket or puddle jumper. Work them out of that dependancy. Practice water comfort in the bathtup. Pour water over their heads while stressing the importance of the scrunchy face. If you don't know what that is yet, check out my podcast where I break down the whole thing.

The point is that consistency will give you the most bang for your buck with swim instruction and you'll feel as though your child has gained LONG-TERM knowledge for swimming.
